Brad Magnussen a registered electrician was hired to do the COC for our property in Northcliff, for the sale of the property. Long story short Brad charged us around R7000 for the COC and all the faults that needed to be rectified to get the COC. Well as found by labour dept. COC was non-compliant and it cost us an additional R50000 to rectify all electrical faults in the home in order to get a compliant COC. Mr. Magnussen also did most of the installations to the property before we bought the home 5 yrs ago. He is a terrible electrician and he *****s as non compliant COC are being issued by him after payment. I have been trying since it occured to get his liscence taken away by the Labour dept, but they have not been in contact with me. Bit of a struggle, but I will keep on trying untill he can no longer work in his fiels.
