Disgusting autocratic incompetence and inappropriate communication etiquette

For the fourth time now Ayanda N Electrical arrived at my doorstep demanding to disconnect my electricity because my account is overdue. During my last three encounters I showed them that it isn't my meter number on the account nor my name. The address however was my address. This time I refused to let them in to waste my time again because between them and eThekwini municipality they are doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. In my books, this is the definition of an idiot. So instead of me getting angry or repeating the process and being the idiot myself, I decided to help them out by expediting the process of the billing dept correcting the incorrect address on the bill of R700 000 arriving at my door in the form of a disconnection notice by politely ripping it up and telling the representative that I have spoken too many times to deaf ears and I'd like him to explain to the billing dept why the document is torn up and hopefully this way the incorrect address gets sorted out without encumbering me any further. This person from Ayanda N took serious offence to this action of mine and started off by calling me rude and getting aggressive with me. I explained that this was the best approach to get someone to take action in the municipality and furthermore explained that it wasn't other electricians that had visited my site, but the same company and that despite my previous requests to rectify the problem and one even writing on the disconnection notice that the address is incorrect, this matter had not been resolved nor had I been contacted with any attempt to resolve it by either Ayanda N nor eThekwini Electricity. The representative took personal offence to me attempting to show him that I had photographic proof on my phone that it was Ayanda N that I told before that the address was wrong by commencing to use extreme profanity directed at me. He retreated to his bakkie (branded with the company name) from behind my closed gate through which he originally handed me the notice, as soon I was about to record our interaction on video as evidence. The driver then sped off while his passenger continued inappropriately swearing at me. I just hope that despite the unprofessional attitude from this individual and once before from the same or another individual working for Ayanda N, the matter eventually gets resolved and I don't have to deal with this autocratic lack of problem resolving interest employee again. I hope the same process does not repeat itself or these individuals act in any way to damage my property or disrupt those on it in future. His actions and attitude don't make me feel safe in my own home any longer. eThekwini need to sort out their billing problems and appoint and train the right people to be able to solve the problems they have created. It isn't the responsibility of the unfortunate recipient to fix their internal problems by spending hours on calls and queues and online reporting that seldom delivers results. They both deserve a 0 rating for efficiency.
