Do not use her - here is your warning

I had just returned back to work from my maternity leave (August). Unfortunately, I didn't get a cent during my leave (that is disdain reserved for them though) so I definitely needed my maternity payout as you can imagine. I actually started the process myself on the ufiling website and it seemed simple enough but I had heard that you could pay someone to actually do it for you. Against my better judgment and against the advice of many others I decided to fork out R600 because I thought the process would be smoother and someone would handle all the hiccups for me. Basically, the R600 paid is for a service, which I thought was fair.

I paid my money, the documents were sent and I sent my documents via Postnet which they received in 4 days. I stupidly left it in the hands of Mariska to sort out now, my part was done according to the R600 I paid. I followed up numerous times and didn't receive a BLIMMEN response.... Ever. Once I started to get angry, I received a message that night that my application was submitted. This was 1 MONTH after I had sent my documents. Fair enough, they are submitted now..... A few weeks later I log into my ufiling and there are documents missing for 2 weeks. You have all my documents??? Why are you not submitting them??? I tried to call and e-mail Mariska and there is no response, ever? I am trying now to do it myself and I can tell you, with leaders on your back and money as tight as hell, who needs this stress when you have paid someone for a service. I am not the only one going through this though and there are MANY of us going through the exact same thing.

Do yourself a favor..... do it yourself online! The Labour office was extremely adamant that we should not use a 3rd party as this causes problems on a daily basis. Problems like this where the person who received your money actually doesn't give a **** when it comes to going the extra mile.

So HELP ME if my claim doesn't go through..... Watch this space.
