To hell and back on holiday with Avoca travels

My family and I booked a holiday to Dubai and turkey with Avoca travels. We have 2 kids, ages 6 and 3. We were left stranded outside Istanbul airport with no one to pick us up from the airport with 2 kids. We tried calling Avoca travels so called “emergency number” but no one responded or helped us. We r had to arrange our own transportation to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel, golden crown hotel. it was pathetic. Filthy and unhygienic. We complained again in real time to Avoca travel agent and once again no one helped. We moved hotels and booked another hotel and the hotel management and Avoca travels ignored our pleas. When we got back to SA and visited the agency in person to advise them regarding our trip, they asked us to send everything in writing. We did that only to be give the run around and every excuse NOT to reimburse us for our additional costs. They state that they have control over your entire holiday, this is a lie. They told us they are waiting for their agency TBO and to provide the refund which proves they are just an intermediary. Do NOT book with this company. I absolutely regret it and cost us so much more money just enjoy our holiday. I would strongly recommend One stop travel agency and Africa stay. These companies will assist you in case of emergency. I had personal experiences with them. For peace of mind and if you really want to enjoy your holiday, especially travelling with kids, do not use Avoca Travels.
