Scratch dispute with Avis taking money off my account with no explanation

I recently rented a car from Cape Town International Airport 1st of May until the 22nd through my discovery insurance curtesy car benefit. I was charged R2753.99 for a scratch that one could barely see that I could hide with a nail polish if I was accountable thats how small and vivid the scratch was. I disputed as I did not cause the scratch and asked for an investigation to be done.

15 minutes later upon return an email came through from Charl Haywood CC Tarquin Fisher that they have closed the investigation with a conclusion that I am accountable for that scratch.. I was still in the vicinity of the rental at the stop sign wondering when was this investigation done???.. I honestly did not have the energy for all of this while I am pregnant which it’s not the first time I experience a back and forth with Avis to a point I even begged my insurance to use another car rental.

I have worked at a car rental for years before and Avis is well known with bad reviews when it comes to their billing. A week later R503 was debited off my account with no invoice. I called 4 times talking on different days to different agents who made it clear that they can explain as to why the money was taken off with no invoice to explain but all they see is that discovery did not pay my full rental days. I requested for proof of such so that I can contact my insure because I knew that was utter lies my insurance would never not pay for any rental days not unless acceding 30 days that I am covered for. No proof was able to be provided instead was just told to wait for a call back from the manager. I got an invoice on the 28th May that is clear I don’t owe them anything since they used my deposit to pay for the scratch with no one who bothered to call back as I requested to speak to Tarquin who was never in the office when I called. This morning 5:33am 7th June Avis just took R403 off my account. Until when will this company have access to my account without my consent nor explanation??
