No Agency. No urgency. Rinse and repeat. I thought those days were behind us
I'm renting a long term rental from Avis/Budget and dropped the vehicle off for a 15 000 km ervice at Toyota. Not even 2 hours later. The car is ready for collection? 😳 I'm receive the vehicle health inspection report. Front brakes: pads / shoes 10mm Back brakes: pads/ shoes 4mm "needs attention".
I question Toyota as to why the issues that I requested Avis/budget for referral had not investigated; Back brakes; Wheel alignment and balancing.
Toyotas esponse: no one told us. Never mind that their own inspection report says that the back brakes "require attention"
Avis/Budget response: no one ever told the booking agent to report issues raised by the customer to the workshop manager 🙆♀️
On the Wheel balancing. Work shop manager said "tread is still fine" no Wheel balancing or balancing required
Is no one seeing the elephant in the room. Despite the rear brakes " requiring attention " and the workshop is not "allowed to" quote on or recommend for repairs. Why is there such a huge variance between the back and front brakes. When it should be the other way around? Is it Wheel balancing/ alignment- uneven wear on the tread, drag, hand brake lock glitches?
Apparently..no one cares. The technician was going to do a physical inspection to see if the discs need to be skimmed...somewhere between he said, she said, they said..my vehicle is still up in the air and I had no feedback since 3pm besides "noted". And am stranded without a car, to get to the office in the morning 😉.
A cherry on top. Avis/Budget airport..were supposed have booked the car in on Friday 21/8. I especially took the day off, because I wouldn't have a car ...and the "customer care" agent forgot... Oh and she also seems to have forgotten that the license expires 30// 2026..something I also asked about collecting last week 🙄
