Why should I beg for my hard earned money?

I hired a car from Avis on the 4 January 2015. I hired a Hyundai iX35 for ten days. Please note that this is the SECOND time im dealing with Avis on this level. I arrived at the branch and waited for close to two hours before i received the vehicle. Please keep in mind that I paid for the full day and only received my car at 15:00. I asked the lady at the counter, to advise me on getting my money returned quicker. She told me that I should I come into the branch when I return the car so they can immediately release my holding amount of R10228.02. When i returned the car , i did as i was told. Nearly a month and two phone calls later, I still haven't received my money. This is a big amount which is causing me financial stress, as that money was suppose to be used to maintain my household. This is the second time this is happening to me. The people at the call centre are contradictory to each other. One consultant will tell you a different story than another consultant. The service and procedure of Avis needs to be reevaluated as this causes stress to the consumer. Why should I beg for own hard earned money??
