What A Joke.

My insurance arranged a courtesy car from Avis for me when my car was ******. I paid extra to reduce my excess to R500 in case of an accident. On the day of the return, I got to the location I'd picked the car up from to find it closed with an A4 paper in the window advising me they had moved. Didn't think to notify clients or anything. Secondly, somebody did a quick inspection of the car and showed me some scratches along the bumper. I hadn't even noticed them, and in the report they made me write I explained that I had not been in the car when that happened - probably another car reversed into mine while I was parallel parked near work. I figure it's cool tough because I have the reduced excess. Only now, two days later, I receive an SMS saying I'm being charged R800 exluding VAT. So I phoned and was told that the extra R300 was an admin fee, which, conveniently, they don't tell you about when you sign for the car. I'd rather walk or Uber than use Avis again.
