WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! BASED ON MY MOST RECENT EXPERIENCE – YOU WOULD BE ILL-ADVISED TO DO BUSINESS WITH AVIS / BUDGET RENTAL CAR – OR TAMBO LOCATION!

As Yahweh Elohim lives, I swear on my life that the following account is true and complete. If I am lying may Yahweh Elohim strike me dead for testifying falsely in the Name of the Creator and true King of both Heaven and Earth – so that all may fear who would swear and testify falsely in His most Set-apart Name!

My wife and I have rented vehicles many times over the last six year – when visiting South Africa and we have NEVER had any issues before – until now! This will be our first and last time to rent from AVIS / BUDGET South Africa.

Our troubles first began approximately two weeks after we returned the Toyota Etios to the airport on Nov. 11th, 2016. It was at that time we noticed that the Chase credit card we rented the vehicle with was charged an additional $821.68 (US). We were NEVER sent a final rental invoice – nor were we sent a letter of explanation. (Yes, I checked my spam box!)

When I contacted the AVIS / Budget customer care line (having to incur long distance charges to do so) at ********** – I was then informed that we were being charged for hail damage to the car. Now, there was absolutely no visible hail damage when I returned the vehicle and no one mentioned any damages at that time. The customer service agent then told me that he would investigate my complaint of dispute and that he would send me an e-mail.

On December 13, 2016, I finally received the promised e-mail (attached). The e-mail assured me that there was hail damage to the automobile and that the charges would stand. In addition, there were five photos attached – NONE of which show any visible damage to the vehicle. Two of the photos show where someone had obviously marked the roof and hood with a marker of some kind – but NO damages were / are visible in the photos.

Furthermore, there was no invoice attached for the final rental charges and no itemized bill of receipt for damages. This all stinks to the highest heaven of a well thought out **** by con artists – posing as legitimate business interest!

I am vigorously disputing the validity of this charge with my credit card company as a result.

In addition, I am fully insured through the credit card that I used for this rental. However, NO INSURANCE CLAIM ON THIS PLANET – is going to authorize a claim without proof of purchase, proof of damages and an itemized bill of repair.

How in the world can you claim to care about people first in the letter you sent and you have not even bother to communicate concerning alleged damages – until I contacted you? Further, you have not even bothered to send any of the documentation required for me to file a claim for damages!

Based on my personal experience, you do not care about people! You only care about enriching yourself through very questionable business practices – low morals and no ethics! As of now, I will NEVER do business with AVIS / BUDGET South Africa again and I will ONLY give my business to the reputable companies I have dealt with previously.

I have posted this warning publicly because I cannot get any satisfactory result from your customer service department. When I tried to reply to the e-mail from AVIS, I received a notice that the agent who sent it was on leave and a request to contact customer care. When I then called the customer care, the new agent rep**** that she would open a new complaint / dispute on my behalf and that I would eventually hear from someone via e-mail.

Good Grief!!!

Most sincerely and truthfully, His servant and yours,

Robert-Arthur: McDuffie ~ Galatians 6:14
