Transaction not appearing on my statement even though the money was debited

<p>On the 29th of July I hired a car through Avis Budget at the Cape Town International Airport a refundable amount of R1350 was deducted from my account. On the 2nd of September I took back the car and was told that Nedbank would be doing the reversal after 2 weeks, still after that no reversal had been done. I contacted the Avis support via email and I was sent an email by an employee called Theodora Msibi who informed me that she had just put in the request for the reversal and that in a few days it will appear on my account as the amount was not really debited but a hold was put on the amount on my account. I contacted my bank Std bank after the money had not appeared even after 5 days. Std bank informed me that the hold on the amount is not appearing on their side and when that is the case they are unable to do any reversals. I have the SMS of the money that went off on my account on the 29th of July. What I don't understand is that how can you guys release the money you had a hold on if my bank can't see. The amount was debited I am able to see it from the balance that was left. Obviously if it did not go through you would not have been able to have any amount to release on your side. I have sent an email to Theodore Msibi about this also but she has not responded to my email. I need to know where exactly my money is.</p>
