They refuse service but still charge unauthrised amounts

Booked a car online at Durban International airport. When I arrived, I was told that my card was not accepted but on their website it clearly says that Hybrid cheque cards are accepted.

Went to Europcar next door and they gladly assisted me. Returned their car last Sunday.

Now Avis is charging me R399.00 without approval.

Go to Europcar. Worth the extra buck. Telling all my friends and family the same thing and cancelling all our loyalty cards with Avis.

Since they won't respond anywhere, I'm going to have to get a lawyer involved. Hopefully this will help you not make the same mistake and end up in the same mess as I'm in.
