They charge you for damages you did not cause

<p>Please don't hire cars from Avis, over the past few years I have had 4 incidents with Avis where they charge you for damages you did not cause. When you collect a car, they give you the key, smile and tell you which parking bay its in, you assume they have checked the vehicle thoroughly and you normally in a rush to get to a meeting so you just get in and drive, other car hire companies other than Avis have a guy to check over the car in front of you before you take it, Avis hope you don't check the car because they need to claim damages caused by the previous renter, on 4 occassions they have told me when returning the vehicle that there is new damage and I know that I did not damage their car, I hire alot of cars with many car hire companies but its only with Avis that I have this problem where they try and claim damages from you which you did not cause, and they have your credit card details so they just take the money whether you agree or not and you can stand on your head and tell them that you did not damage their car, they will just not listen, so remember if you want to hire a car, use anyone other than Avis, because they smile and give you the key and take your wallet while they smiling and they try harder to get their cars fixed with your money, beware their staff are properly trained to point out damage when you return the car but nobody is there is point on damage when they give you the car.</p>
