Theft

I dropped off my AVIS rent car on the 27th of February 2015 at approximately 13:15 by the Cape Town Airport drop-off area. I checked the vehicle but did not check the armrest compartment. Admittedly I forgot my new prescription sunglasses in the armrest compartment! I realized this as I walked into the Airport, I turned around and went back. When I arrived at the AVIS drop-off area the vehicle was already taken away. The Manager said he would contact the wash bay area and get my sunglasses. Later that day I received a call from the manager, Timothy, who told me the glasses are not there and that AVIS takes no responsibility for any articles left in the vehicle, apparently as per the small print on the contract. I understand their position but with the arrogant, they do not care attitude, and as I take theft very seriously, I guarantee that neither myself nor anyone in my company will use AVIS again!
