Terrible Service!

I am writing to report a complaint against Avis Car Rental regarding a rental vehicle that I had rented from their Krugersdorp location in November 2022

Upon receiving the rental vehicle, I immediately noticed a problem with the clutch, and I brought it to the attention of the rental agent. Unfortunately, my concerns were ignored, and I was told that the vehicle was in good working condition. The problem persisted, and I eventually contacted customer service, who arranged for a replacement vehicle.

Despite the mechanical issues with the rental vehicle, I was charged for the damage fee associated with the first rental car, which I believe is unfair and unjust. I have contacted the Avis Car Rental and requested that they withdraw any charges associated with the mechanical damage to the rental vehicle, but I have yet to receive a satisfactory response.

Furthermore, I believe that Avis has violated my rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act of 2008 and the Rental Housing Act of 1999. The company did not provide me with a rental vehicle that was in good working condition, despite my bringing the mechanical problem to the attention of their staff. Avis Car Rental also ignored my concerns and charged me for the damage fee despite the fact that the damage was not my fault.

I am not liable for any mechanical damage to the rental vehicle and therefore request that the damage fee be withdrawn immediately. Additionally, I request that Avis Car Rental refund my deposit for the rental vehicle as soon as possible.
