Stay away from Avis in Nice, France
Stay away from Avis car rental in Nice, France. I rented a car there this summer for 45 days. Because of the length of the rental period, they split the payment into 2, with two separate payments. However, they charged my card first with a full payment, and later for a second payment, so I ended up paying 524 Euro extra. After my complaint they recognized their mistake, but they never refunded the money back (I have been waiting more than 2 months now).
