STAY AWAY FROM AN AVIS MAINTENANCE PLAN.
Avis Maintenance plans
I had a horrible experience with this company whereby they refused to pay for maintenance on my VW Polo because my car was not serviced by VW but rather by Autoworks which is RMI approved.
They furthermore downgraded my maintenance plan to a service plan which expires on the 6th of November 2023. But also informs me that my car is only due for a service in 2024 because it was already serviced by the very workshop that voided the maintenance plan.
This conveniently frees Avis from any expense on this now Service Plan.
I was under the misguided impression that since July 2021 you can take your car to any accredited service workshop without voiding your warrantee or maintenance plans.
And yet Avis insist my car should have been serviced only by VW. I might have misunderstood and I do not have a choice where I have my car serviced.
