Speechless, booking confirmation means nothing!
Made a car booking only to be told when i collected the car my liability excess would be R200,000!! Nowhere on my booking confirmation is this mentioned anywhere! I had to pay double the rental fee to get this reduced to R6,600! Will never use Avis again.

Please be advised that when you create a booking, the terms of the rental are stated before you confirm the booking. When you select super cover waiver, your liability amount is reduced which is at an additional fee.

NOWHERE on my booking does it says i need to pay R200K liability! Even your counter representative looked at my confirmed booking that this was not stated and what you sent me! Meaning your confirmation of how much it cost to rent your cars is misleading!

21 Sept 2022, 01:48I requested Avis customer service to provide me with a copy of their booking confirmation. Upon receipt i noted Avis internal confirmation document states how i would be liable for ZAR 264,410.00, however this is nowhere stated on the booking confirmation i was provided with. Still waiting on response from customer service how it is possible their internal booking confirmation can be different to what they sent me!

Please be advised that before you confirm the booking, the liability is stated which you can select between the super waiver or standard waiver. And the confirmation letter would also state the liability amount.
