Selling a service plan under false pretence
I bought a Ford Fiesta at FORD BARLOWORLD PMB in March 2013 with +-68000km on the clock and I puchesed a optimum services plan 5 years or up to 120 000km. I was under the impresion that the five year period started from the day I puchesed the vehicle. I paid R10 954.48 for the service plan. My first service was on the 25/03/2014 which was the 80 000km service, To a total amount of the service being R1180.98(Job no. 130108). On the 25/03/2015 I took it for the 100 000km service(Job no. 143858) of which came to a total of R909.21.<br> I was told that my service plan had expired in Jan 2015, I thought that this service plan that expired was the previous owners seeing that I only had one service done on the vehicle. Ford told me that Avis said that they would honor the service plan and pay for it . Today 31/03/2016 I took my vehicle for its 120 000km service, Avis refused to pay for the service seeing that the contracted expired in Jan 2015. I had to pay R2185.10 for the serice out of my own pocket(Job no.158637) I would not of bought the service plan if I knew it would only cost me R2000 for the two services. they sold me the service plan knowing they over charged me by R8000.
