SCRATCH NOT NOTED ON AVIS CAR

I rented a car on Friday and we went around the car with the guy checking for the scratch however when I returned it at the bottom of the left fender there was a superficial scratch which is quite old which when you come from the driver s side you don't see and that is the side we used when checking and to see it you need to bend. When I handed over the car the receiving guy noted that scratch and said it was me and I refused and he even called his boss who said the car was at panel beaters he will check what was done on it and he will get back to me, However he gave the receiving guy to make a call .But the receiving guy is adamant that he will charge me and I said I cannot take responsibility for something I don't know about as that scratch is not obvious and the paint is still there but it shows that its an old one .<br> <br> While still waiting for feedback I received a notification that they billing my account ith R 3602.10 and to me that day light roberry from Avis
