<p>I hired a Hyundai i10 from Avis for two days during which I drove 56km Before returning the car I filled it with fuel (3.56l cost R49.75)and handed the slip to the Avis check in guy.On receiving my invoice I have been charged a further R69.30 for 3.73l of fuel.This equates to 7.29l of fuel to drive 56km.As these cars use 6l/100km this is obviously not possible.I hire 4 or 5 cars a year and almost ALWAYS have problems with the fuel costs.It would appear to me that it is the POLICY of these companies to charge for extra fuel on the basis that of 100 such charges only a small percentage will query the account so refund them and pocket the rest.I say this because this i9s not the first time by far that this has happened to me!Res no ********** 7ZA3</p>
