questionable charges on car rentals

<p>I rented and paid for an Avis car between 26-28 May 2016 on the internet</p> <p>On returning the car to ORT i filled the car up at Isando Shell Motors within +-3km of th airport and returned it at ORT - now to find that they have charged me R76.62 for petrol???</p> <p>In addition I now see that the lady at Lanseria where we picked the car up on night 26 May added windscreen and tyre damage waiver without informing me and the same has been added to my car hire on 10 June - also without informing me. The agent rings certain areas on the contract which you ae requested to sign when you take the car and under the poor lighting at night its difficult to see in any case! - so i initialed the ringed areas in good faith</p> <p>In addition they also added a contract fee of R69,30 - a factor not pointed out when i paid the car on the internet</p> <p>This is not the first time i have experience the petrol overcharge with Avis but the first time tyre and windscreen cover has been added without first telling me??</p> <p>So what with the questionable petrol charges - the veiled tyre and windscreen charges - and now a hidden contract fee - i have been charged way in excess of what i was lead to believe was the price</p> <p>Watch out when you rent Avis cars - it would appear that the company is not above board !!! A total ripoff!!</p>
