POOR SERVICE FROM AVIS CENTURION

Bought a car at Avis Centurion, this was a cash sale. The sales lady made promises that was not kept. Firstly due to the cash sale she only said that we need to send her proof of payment, I made the payment send proof of payment, the following day when I wanted to fetch my car (that se promised I will get) she confirmed that she forgot to tell that the money must show immediately in the account. Please keep in mind that we are staying more than 100km from Centurion. I arrived before she called me, I waited, tried my best to speed the process at the bank. They did offer me a drive home, however I had to collect the car the following day.... How is it possible to get back in Centurion again. They took me to Avis car rental. There was no car available to rent. I had to pay someone to take me home.

The following day the funds showed in the bank account..(After I had to call and ask if I can get the car) Once again I had to pay someone to take me to Centurion. (2 Days of work). And R850.00 later.

I also had to pay a compulsary registration amount - however I am staying in another province thus I wanted new number plates ect. She confirmed that I need to send her the proof that the car is registered and then Avis will refund me. I've send proof on Monday. On Wednesday I phoned to query about the funds, she confirmed that she did not received the documentation , however she rep**** when I send it to her saying Thank you. They are to lazy to register the car in another Province. She said there is procedures (I do understand), however she confirmed that AFTER e-mails was send... She also did not reply on some of the e-mails. THIS WAS A CASH SALE - SHE ACTUALLY DID NOTHING.

Thursday I phoned again (I had to pay immediately, but I need to wait for them), her manager phoned and ensured me that he will speed up the process... Well today is Friday - I did not receive any call or funds?

I was calm up to now... This is unacceptable - even the amount that was charge for the registration is unacceptable, the registration that I did was not even to close to the amount they charged.

I will never buy a car again from Avis and will never refer them to anyone.
