Poor service and badly maintained vehicle

<p>Last week my office preordered a car via avis online platform. I could only collect the vehicle on Saturday morning for my business trip to northern cape on Sunday. When I arrived, there was a que and only one staff member on duty, similar to those hotels in small towns where there is only a staff of one.</p> <p>my card was processed and when The time came to inspect the vehicle, I was nothing less than shocked at the poor offering I got.</p> <p>the paint had a lot of chips on the front bumper, a chip on the windscreen, scuff marks all over on the inside panels, dirty mag wheels and no caps on any of the valves of the wheels. When I opened the engine compartment, I was truly shocked to see the dirty oily engine. I questioned the reliability of the vehicle and the staff proceeded to explain to me that all of this would go away if they can wash it for me.</p> <p>Talk about denial. What **** offering is this from a professional company like avis?</p> <p> I cancelled the deal because it looked like this particular car was used for off-roading. The guy kept on explaining that they don't know what the car looks like under the bonnet when it returns from their inhouse service centre.</p> <p> I think that I might overstate it when I say that I am shocked. To crown it all, there is no manager on site and this staff member just gave me the silent treatment because he couldn't fix the problem other than to wash it away.</p> <p>No other vechile was offered and I'm now redfaced because my trip has to be delayed. It is said that time is money and this avis on Ontdekkers Roodepoort is not conductive to anyone's business but their own.</p> <p> I don't think that I will recommend or use them again after this poor attitude.
