Poor control measures & bad services from start to finish
In keeping straight to the point.
Avis gave me the run around after a car rental booking I made, they kept requesting a certificate on arrival when picking up the car.
Apparantley I didn't need one, but no one seemed to know the process, which was irritating considering they were telling me a day before that i could not pick up the car without this supposed certificate. Thanks to Nedbank for assisting me.
I picked up the car and it was my 1st time i was advised that if I saw anything to go to the inspectors before leaving and in the dim light around 5:30pm and being in a rush I checked what I thought was important and took the car.
I am not an expect, in my opinion it should be compulsory to have inspectors check the car as you leave not optional.
I brought the car back on the due date and got lost trying to find the entrance but no one picked up when I called, and I come back and there are scratches and im rudely told by the car inspector that they don't have time to call the manager or else they will write on the report that I am refusing to co-operate. I write a basic report and head to the counter to query this and was told if I didn't see the damages when picking up the car that it was tough luck
The process needs to be reviewed and correct measures need to be put in place, Avis places the responsibility on the client on purpose and take zero risk... considering it was my 1st time and I hope to get a car of my own soon, I will never come back to Avis ever!!
To top it off I get told tough luck and was rudely addressed by an inspector infront of my woman.
There are no words to describe what I would do if given the chance to express my true feelings
