Paying for non-existent damage.
E*** - ref 22/*** - The car was returned on the 24th of JuneToday I have been billed R1 369.56 (excl. VAT) for damage that was not specified to me. I have been waiting for 2 weeks to get my deposit refunded and was pushed from pillar to post After contacting the CABS I am told by Nonhlanhla Radebe this cost was for damage to a door. What door? When I returned the vehicle I walked around the car with the consultant. The only damage was to the windscreen. On Friday Disconery contacted me to ask how the service was with Avis I gave a 6 out of 10 as I am still waiting for my deposit to be refunded. The next working day I am being billed for a door that was not damaged and was not pointed out to me. I am going to ask Discovery to assist me with this situation as I regard it as *****. Please provide me with a form that I signed to acknowledge the damage.
Thank you for contacting us.

Best regards,
Please be advised that our vehicles are inspected when the customer had dropped off the vehicle. Kindly note that on inspection, there were damages on the vehicle.
We had to check on previous rentals if there was door dent, and the damage was only noted when the you returned the vehicle.
We have sent the damage report, and you shall receive them from ***.
Therefore the damage charge is correct.

As per your first response.
In regards with the damage charge, as per the signed damage report you acknowledge the damages that were noted. That is the damages has been billed under this invoice. We have sent the damage documents, and you shall receive them from ***. "
Your second response is contradicting your initial statement.
Where is the accident report that you stated that I had signed? You have just admitted that I am being unfairly treated. I demand to see the accident report that you used to initiate the damage repair.
So either send me the accident report that I signed or a full refund.
As I initially stated I was present when the inspection was done. I was never informed of any damage to a door and I am just being billed for the damage.
And that is ******* as the damage, if any, was caused after I dropped off the car.
This can become a legal issue as you first claimed that I acknowledged the damage on an accident report and now there is no accident report.
