Overcharged for ****** Wheel Caps. It is a *******.
This is the 2nd time that Avis has fleeced me as a customer, charging me and overcharging me for costs already paid for.
I booked a VW Polo from the 7th to the 9th of December 2019 at the Sunninghill Branch in Rivonia. On the 7th, all wheel caps were ****** and I reported this to the Police. I had also paid for waivers for theft, damage and collision.
I reported this to the lady on duty and she asked me to fill in a form (I can point her out as I also saw her today). She informed me that because of the waivers, I would only pay an admin fee of R450 and nothing more. Today, she denied this ("I don't remember.") but the good thing is she was the only one on duty on the day that I reported the loss.
The cost I was charged for missing hub caps was R3089.49 and no invoice has ever been provided to me to this date.
Problems: 1. Firstly, having paid waivers, I should not be charged for this loss 2. Secondly, I have been grossly overcharged. Hub caps do not cost R3089.00. I have seen them to cost R600.
I spoke to Olwethu Dlaku online and she asked me to forward this dispute on the 20th of December 2019. No response.
I also spoke to the representative and the manager at the branch, whose answers were mostly that, "we're offline and can't help you. Another department handles this."
This entity can forget any future business from me or my companies.
This pattern is close to ********/***** as it is prevalent.
