OVERCHARGED AND DEBITED WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION

2016-02-05 R4699.58 Debit approved at Avis Rent a Car. ***. Rental for 10 days: R1426.44 Plus Deposit R3273.14. Vehicle returned 14/2 in good order and in same condition as handed to me.(nobody inspected the vehicle with me when keys was handed to me at the counter) Phoned Avis re refund of deposit yesterday 20/2/2016. Lady at customer care said she will contact bank to release deposit back to my account. All is good for the refund. Avis DEBITED my FNB account again instead with R2849.01 same day: 20/2/2016. WHO AUTHORIZED THIS? Which my bank is going to return today as there is not enough funds in my account to cover this amount. Can you please explain this? And REFUND the deposit to me, which must be a CREDIT NOT A DEBIT. PS: I note a LOT of similar complaints here. And they do not respond as well. VERY worrying factor. NEGATIVE FOR THIS COMPANY. <br>
