Overcharge Rip-off, fundraising at clients expense

I was given a Hyundai Accent by Avis Isando, which was previously in an accident and dinged in numerous places. Too many places the even fit on the sheet. Mandla said as much when we inspected the car. he showed me all the dings and colour mismatches, but then he failed to write them all on the sheet as there were too many to fit in the space provided.

They have been deducting amounts of R1538, then the same day R2207. I went into the branch to be told that i bashed the car to the tune of R10 000 or more, but they are "only" charging me R2830.

This is not only ridiculous, and WRONG but it is also humiliating. This is clearly an ************ attempt at fund-raising to get me to fund the repair of a previously damaged vehicle and I am not going to take this lightly. On principle this is unfair, and they are just plain wrong.

A visit to the branch resulted in the supervisor telling to my face that i damaged the vehicle. The she said that if I did not damage it, maybe somebody else came and damaged it!

A giggling cutomer amused at my anger said that I should have photographed the vehicle. If Avis has told me to do so , I would have done so. I did not expect to return the vehicle to them as I received it, and then be told that I am liable to pay for previous accidents and humiliated on top of it.

I will be taking them on legally on principle, but would like to warn other unsuspecting users to BEWARE of their ************ tactics. they have probably charged the past few users for the same dings they are charging me for.
