Over billing and wrongful damage claim
Rental: E***

I booked a vehicle with avis cape town international from the 4th until the 7th of december. When I arrived to collect I was told they will reserve R1800 as a fuel leavy on my credit card. This was in addition to the R993 I prepaid when I made the booking. They however took a payment of R1948.50 rather than the agreed appon reserve of R1800.
When I collected the vehicle, I reported damage that was recorded on the QCE form and was assured this would not be claimed against my name. The damage was a dent on the right front fender.
Uppon returing the car with a full tank if fuel, the inspector requested the QCE form noting the existing damage, however I was never handed with a copy. I therefore indicated on my contact, as instructed, that the damage was pre existing and returned the car and the contract.
On Wednesday a further R714 was charged on my credit card without approval. I then received a sms claiming I am responsible for the R2027.80 of damage to the fender.
All my attempts to resolve this have been met with unanswered call to cape town directly and consultants who cannot help me. I have wasted over 60 minutes of call time on this allown.
