No roadside assist for 6+ hrs after accident

Colleague & I rented car 2 March morning for meeting in Modimolle. 7km outside Modimolle accident in rain, slid into fence. Immediately (9:30am) phoned emergency line to inform of incident, we are stuck, but no one hurt. Were referred to Polokwane Avis- informed us only 1 towtruck available and it was busy so eta 12:00. We requested to leave car & attend important meeting, as town nearby. Advised we shouldn't as if car unattended we are liable for any damage. Therefore we forefeited meeting to await towtruck. At 12:00 informed towtruck only coming 2pm. We asked that they please consider we are two women on the side of the road, cellphone batteries running low & could a local towtruck be used to remove the car, so we could go to safety - wait in town.. We were told the truck would come at 2pm. At 2pm NO TRUCK. We phoned Plk for update, they informed us 'The truck shows that it is stationary meaning it is at your site now\ - there was NO TRUCK! Plk Avis said they would then dispatch an Avis car to our site so we could hand over keys and leave the site of the incident. Said car arrived 16:15. Poor service left us at SERIOUS PERSONAL RISK and wasted a day of planned work. Unacceptable!"
