No return of deposit

I was charged a deposit of R1300 when I collected the car from Avis. They put a hold on the money on your credit card but do not debit it according to them this makes it easier to return.

Well 12 days since I returned the car in perfect condition I have not received my deposit back. I would know if I had received the deposit back. They now tell me that the money has gone back into my credit card according to the bank but this is nonsense as my balance has not changed.

So they are basically saying I am not getting my money back. In fact the fact that they just put a hold on the money makes it impossible to trace. I am so upset this has been a nightmare.

Avoid using them if you want your deposit back.
