No deposit returned plus bad service

I had a hire due to my car getting fixed. I returned the car on the 27th Feb and the guy at avis told me my deposit would be return within 8-10 working days. Its been a month and I still dont have my money back. I went to the branch on Saturday the 22nd Apr and Avin told be me he was sending a mail to avis to release the hold and it should reflect by Monday the lastest....still nothing!!!! I called the branch yesterday Avin was busy so I left a message for him to call me back. He didnt call so I called back spoke to him and agai. She asked for me to send a screen shot of my statement which I done. He didnt reply..I sent him another email to check if he received my email and still nothing..so besides having no deposit back. The service is pathetic too.

Hi Natisha,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

Please be advised that a cancellation request has been sent through to the bank for them to confirm whether or not the funds are on hold or if they were released. If any amount is still on hold, then we will instruct the bank to release the hold.

Please note that since the authorisation amount is not a debit, when released it is not a credit or deposit that will reflect on your bank statement but your available balance will increase.

We will revert to you with feedback.

Hi Natasha,

We apologise for the delayed response.

Please be advised that the bank confirmed that there is no pending amount in your account for Avis. This means hold/authorisation was automatically release by your bank. Please note that pre-authorisation is not a debit but a hold that we place in your account and is released by your bank.
