Monthly Rented Car Seized

Avis car rental Rustenburg literally took a car I rented from me when I went to drop the car off.I dropped the car so that they can go and fix the fault in the car and return the same car I rented back. The arrangement was to do a car swap which was confirmed To my surprise when I get there, I was told I have to pay R9500 for the few minor scratches on the car to get a new car that is meant to be a swap. Mind you,I paid deposit that can cover scratches they are referring to and I already paid the monthly rental for July 2025 and they demanded R9500 to be paid on the spot.

The same car I rented over 7 months and they just took it like that leaving me stranded without a car to go work to attend a very important meeting I called. I even asked them to give me the car just go to work and I will drop the car after work and guess what? they refused. The car that I have already paid including July 2025. I felt ********** and trapped. If the car was in great condition there was no need for me to even go and do a car swap.

They do not value the customers,the least the could have done was to allow me to return the car after work. It was not like the car was booked to be fixed, actually I was told they want to sell the car instead of fixing the car, hence they were forcing me to enter into another contract and pay R9500.

Avis can I please get the refund for July monthly rental and the difference for my car deposit.

I have had enough of Avis pathetic service.

I now understand why some major businesses do not want anything to do with Avis.
