Lost my ankle boots that i left in the AVIS rented car - OR Tambo

<p>On the 19th of July 2017 i rented a car and returned it on the 21st Of July 2017. When i got home i realized that i left my boots in the car that i rented, i called AVIS on the 22nd of July and i was told that they cannot help me because its weekend and the guys who work in the "lost and found department " are not there. When i called on Monday 24 July i was told that my boots are not there. When i asked the lady i was speakign to about the way forward she told me that there is nothing she can do because there are no boots. I feel that AVIS did not do enough to assist me as the customer who hires a car from them every month. As much as my belongings are my responsibility i think it is their responsibility as well to investigate such cases as opposed to just telling me that there is nothing they can do. One thing for sure the boots cannot just vanish in the car they were taken by someone. This is very disappoiting if we as customers are going to lose our possesions and be told that there is nothing that AVIS can do. Obviously one of AVIS staff members helped themselves with my boots and AVIS doesnot want to bring that person to book. So dissapointing </p>
