Left Stranded at airport with baby due to Avis misleading clients and false information and poor customer service

On the 3rd of December 2018, I booked a car on the Avid website for collection at the King Shaka International airport, and paid using a cheque card which as my name embossed on it and it's a FNB card, I was advised when I arrive at the airport, to.present the same cheque card and drivers licence in order to collect my car from Avid, Upon arrival at Avis, everything seemed to be in order, and I was informed that my card was going to be verified , I had no.problem of this as this also protects me, what happens next is really sad, I was informed , that the car cannot be released as my cheque was not more than 3 months old , firstly upon booking a car, clients are not informed about this, if I was aware, prior to.booking, I would have made other arrangements, by failing to inform clients about this prior to them paying and booking is totally misleading and left me in a very bad situation, even prior to booking , I called in to enquire if my a cheque card was accepted and have them cars details, I was advised yes, even though there was more than enough money in that account, and also FNB confirmed everything was in order, you guys still refused to give me car reason being the card was not more than 3 months old. I even asked the lady if I can speak to someone higher as I am now left stranded in the airport with no car, and her reply was no, that's our procedure. I then even called customer care, and was on hold for.more than 30 mins, and could not be.given an answer besides your card is not more than 3 months old, even after me pleading, for help, as I had no.other means of transportation. It is sad to see the way you treat customers, you guys don't care, even to date my money was refunded. Please stop giving clients false information and take they money and do this to them, what you guys are doing is not fair. To sum up , Avis, is saying FNB cheque cards are a waste of time and cannot be used.
