I rented a car that ...
I rented a car that was not up to standard in terms of cleanliness and there were damages that they didn't bring to our attention as the lady who handed the car didn't inspect the car with us, we had to pick up ourself some damages that were obviously, now when we the car was returned they telling me that I damage the front bumper which is nonsense, they have charged R2455- instead of refunding my deposit and only deduct money for a speed fine administration of R385, they say, I enquire where did you made us aware of the damages and make us sign for it, but till today no reply I'm so annoyed with the way they handle this query, they deducted my son's Account and his not even working his account is overdrawn

There was no damage on the car on the front bumper, I believe if there was they should have noted it when they were inspection the car going around together with us and make the client sign for the demages.
Far most when my Son picked up the car, they didn't even bother to do inspection around the car, my Son had to picked up himself that the backboard was demaged and they just noted it on a piece of paper with no signature.
That was the only damage on the car and the car was also dirty on the roof was not happy about that as well, but we didn't have a choice as they said this is the only car allocated to me, it was the first time I receive poor service ofrom a kind from a reputable company like Avis, now you telling me about the damages that was not even there. There is no such thing I want my Money returned back, you can only take for traffic fine administration fee that I fully take responsibility for it, I will pay for the ticket and let you know.
Please send me a signed inspection report where my Son acknowledged that damages, that was not there, I am furious with Avis I'm willing to take it up, you can't bully clients with damages they didn't do.
Please I need feedback pleaseRegards

Please find the attached invoice as well as the fine debit note. Kindly be advised that an amount of R2455.00 charged to the account is for extra charges as per the attached original invoice. The additional amount of R384.99 is going to be charged as well for a traffic fine administration fee.
When the customer had the vehicle in their possession they managed to receive a traffic fine. For each fine that is received we charge an amount of R384.99 for administration fee.
Kindly be advised that we have not yet received any feedback from the bank regarding the security deposit of R1500.00 and R955.00 that was on hold if it was released back or not. We have escalated the matter to the bank and as soon as feedback is received. We will definitely revert to you with a conclusive feedback and advise accordingly.
@traffic fines can you please assist with the actual fine for the above rental agreement number.

His account is sitting on a minus not as he is not workingRegards

Good day Ntombenhle Zulu, Thank you for emailing AvisBudget and apologies for the delay in response. Ref: E*** Please note when you collect the vehicle, we request your bank to reserve a hold of R1,500.00 + R955.00 against the funds on your card. Your bank will usually present this as a pending transaction that reduces the money you have available to spend. This might appear to be a debit on your statement but it is not. We do not charge your card. No funds are actually taken from your account. Once your card is charged with the invoice amount, the hold will be released by your bank. As this was a temporary hold, and not charged, the return of funds will not be shown as a transaction on your statement, instead your available balance will simply increase as long as your account is in credit. Depending on your bank, it can take up to 30 days before this is reflected on your account balance. The time to release the hold is not within our control but we will escalate this to your bank now. Please be advised we have escalated this to your merchant bank now in order to obtain amount and auth code pending and also speed up the release process. Please do allow for a period of 48 hour for the release of these funds should they be still pending on your bank account. Should you require any further assistance, please do contact us.
