Humble request to Avis
I started renting with Avis last month. Unfortunately I lost an infant this past weekend, I had not insured my child as yet as she was still young. Just a year old. I did not anticipate that I will lose a child so soon. I cannot access credit due to my low score. So that means I have to fund the funeral out of my own pocket. It is for this reason that I cannot afford paying the car for this month. To this end, I wish to beg and plead that my deposit could be refunded soon, today if feasible so that I can go ahead with paying the undertaker and other costs. The situation is dire and desperate. I hereby plead with Avis to assist in processing my deposit urgently given the grief my family are currently experiencing. The car is still in pristine condition, I did not exceed my allocated kilometers and it underwent car wash this morning. I will be returning the car today around middday at Avis centurion. I humbly beg and plead. Please.

Who's is lying at a morgue and I am incurring costs with each passing day!!! Where is empathy?? Where is the sense of Ubuntu from you business?? You are still subjecting me to red tape whereas I begged and pleaded with you because every little cent will help in burying my daughter. We all know this payment can be made within minutes if you want to. Making a payment does not even take a minute. Does my issue not count as exceptional circumstances??? I lost a one year old daughter nkos yam!!!!! This is quite painful. Really. You are certainly being out of touch with the human element as a business.

It normally takes 48-72 hours for the billing on the rental to be completed. However, in your case, we pushed for the branch to speed up the process and close off the rental within 24 hours.
We then had to allow our finance department to follow due procedure and confirm that the billing was correct, thereafter processed the refund. Regrettably, a payment does not take "minutes" to be processed as due procedure and bank processes need to be followed.
We have done our absolute best to get the refund processed within this week, which is not within the scope of normal procedure.
We thank you for your patience thus far.
