I rented a card from Avis/Budget on 11 March 2017. It was at CapeTown International Airport. I was there for the Capetown Cycle Race, which was cancellend the following day because of excesive winds.

I ended up returning tp Pretoria sooner as a result of the race being cancelled. I mention this to stress the point that I had the car for probaby only 20 hours.

I pad R457 for car-hire for 1 day (paid beforehand). I recently noticed an additional amount of R338 on my credit card. Upon inquiring, I was told this was for a valet, since the car was dirty.

That is absolutely not true. I drove from the airport straight to my hotel, parked the car, and the following morning (08:40) I drove back to the airport. The car was as clean as it was the day before.

Considering this valet constitutes a 73% of what I initially paid for the rental, I find this outrageous.

Furthermore, I haven't received even a single email, detailing costs. This is always standard practice in my experience with other car rental agencies. I've logged a call with Avis, and haven't had feedback.

It's only after my 2nd time on the phone with Avis (another 10 minutes wasted) that I am resoring to HelloPeter for help.

Sorry Avis, never again will you see me for any rental...
