Fuel and contract levy *******.

We rented a vehicle from Avis in Port Elisabeth on the 3rd of April 2015 ,<br> <br> When we left for Knysna on the way we realised that the fuel gauge was only on 75% full and when arriving the petrol light was on and we only drove 270 km on a supposed full tank,<br> <br> When we filled the tank up again the petrol gauge only went up to about 75% but this time we managed to get more than 500 km on the tank that clearly meant we did not receive a full tank when we collected the vehicle.<br> <br> We filled the tank up when we took the vehicle back and informed the inspector that there is a problem with the fuel gage. He took a tool from his pocket and said that the Fiestas all have these problems and that he just needs to disconnect the battery to see if the tank is filled up. <br> <br> So no way was the petrol filled up when we got the vehicle, <br> <br> We also paid additional contract fees that was not mentioned in advance when we made payment for booking and its now also been more than a week and still not received our deposit back.<br> <br> If they cheat each customer out of R200 petrol it does add up.<br> <br> Luckily there is enough competition and I will never have to use Avis again.
