I rented a vehicle on 24 March 2015 and returned the vehicle on 31 March as contracted with a full tank of petrol which I filled 400 meters from Avis at the BP garage next to the CT Airport. Up to this point I was 100% happy with Avis. When the transaction went through a week later, an amount of R380 were added to the bill for filling up the tank of the vehicle. either someone removed petrol from the tank or went and filled his/her vehicle with petrol and wrote the registration number of the rented vehicle on the slip. The call centre informed me that they received approval to reverse the petrol charge but I am still waiting for the money to reach my account. I kept all the petrol slips as proof of my claim.

My second issue is that the hold (reserve of funds) on my account was not lifted when the actual debit was put through to my account. This inconvenienced me because i did not have access to my money. I went to my bank on Saturday 18 March 2015 to remove the hold from my account. Apparently. this is a regular occurence experienced by Avis Clients as per the lady who helped me at my bank.

Avis,
This is not good enough. Why do I have to phone the call centre twice
