First they wreck your car and then they wreck you

On the 19th of January 2015 I was idly sitting in my car waiting for the lights to change on Rivonia Rd, right in traffic waiting outside the AVIS Branch. An AVIS Quantam rolled driverless and idling out of the AVIS branch and into traffic colliding with my vehicle. Causing a drivable R30 000+ damaged Volvo to now be the vehicle in my possession. <br> Off I went to the cop shop to report the accident.<br> Off I went to get three quotes from three panelbeaters during work hours at the expense of my time and the company I work for investment.<br> I then took it upon myself to contact their head office, where I had the delight of speaking to possibly the most uninformed staff member at Avis. This person lead me on a chase for three weeks of submitting documentation that need not be submitted without ever informing me that it was an AVIS Van Rental issue and not the AVIS Car Rental, where this wonder of a person worked. Eventually after speaking to someone else (as Amos never responded to emails and calls always ended in no new information) I got directed to AVIS Van Rental in Kempton Park. They bounced me to the insurance brokers, they have now bounced me to the insurer - engaged lines only. :/
