Avis now has a policy to charge a refueling fee irrespective of whether the car is returned with the tank full or not.

I returned a car with a full tank in Wynberg Cape Town and was charged for 1 litre of petrol plus a R17 refuelling fee. I had refueled the car myself 500m away (the closest garage) The same thing happened at King Shaka airport. Avis always used to be a reliable honest company. Has the management changed?
