Extremely bad service from Avis Car Hire Cape Town Airport (Avoiding payment)

This is behalf of my colleague, who has been struggling with Avis Cape Town Airport for more than a year now, with no proper comeback. "On the 16 June 2021 an Avis rental car, with a lady staff member, drove into my husbands stationary vehicle at 11pm at night, while on his way to fetch me at work in Goodwood. The damage came to approx. R80 000.00. We had to cancel our insurance plan on the vehicle due to the Covid pandemic, as both myself and my husband lost our jobs at the time, and i just started a new job. Numerous attempts were made with Avis to sort this issue, we even had to resort to go to the Cape Town Airport, and were told to leave the premises. It has been a year later, and this has been a massive inconvenienced to me and my family, and a year later we still waiting for answers, C Wu.

They were already contacted numerous times, where C Wu corresponded with Tebogo Tsabalala where C Wu was informed that the Avis driver was hit and ran by an unknown vehicle which collided with their car. She responded back to request feedback as the other vehicle has no concern of hers. She is still awaiting feedback.

Kindly be advised that unfortunately our customer was not the proximate cause of the accident, and in this instance we cannot attend to the claim any further. Our customer was faced with a sudden emergency and as results they collided into you vehicle. THIS IS THE COMMUNICATION THAT WAS SEND TO COCO WU. IT WAS NOT A CUSTOMER DRIVING THE VECHILE, BUT A STAFF MEMBER WHO WORKS AT THE AIRPORT. THE SUDDEN EMERGENCY YOU TALK ABOUT IS A VECHILE BUMPED YOUR CAR, AND YOUR CAR BUMPED INTO COCO WU. YOUR VECHILE IS DIRECTLY LIABLE FOR COCO WU FOR THE DAMAGE CAUSED TO HER VECHILE. AS THE OTHER VECHILE IS LIABLE TO PAY YOU. DID YOUR INSURANCE CLAIM FROM THE OTHER VECHILE? IF THIS IS THE ISSUE COCO WU WAS ADVISED TO GO THROUGH AN ATTORNEY.
