Excellent Customer Service by Samuel and Phaswa from Avis Hatfield

I would like to thank Mr Samuel and Phaswa of Avis Hatfield car rental.

I had requested a booking from an agency that we use at work for traveling purposes. Went to the Hatfield branch immediately after knocking off. I was politely welcomed by Samuel, who checked my details on his computer. To my surprise, the booking was not confirmed because there are no vehicles available in their fleet. This did not sit well in me as I had a voucher confirming that the car is ready for collection.

Samuel took the time and courtesy to explain to me that actually, the agency only called around 1 pm and advised that I (client) will be at the Avis offices in less than 10 minutes. He (Samuel) explained that there are no vehicles available. The agent did not listen to him. He had tried to check for me if I could get a car from PTA City Central, Menlyn etc but could not win. The time was now around 17:15. Seeing how desperate I was and after hearing that I have a meeting to attend the following day in Limpopo, Samuel decided to be proactive and progressive by giving me a vehicle that was about to be washed and made ready for the following day. He assured me that all is going to be well and made t a point that I am satisfied even though the issue was caused by my agency and not him. He said to me that I should with the agency later as long he has done his part in giving me a satisfying service.

I thought my problems were solved until I found out that I could not leave my personal car at the Avis parking lot, as they are sharing the space with other companies. It was already late for me to arrange for the delivery service. That was when Phaswa, Samuel's co-worker enquired where I stay. It turned out that he passes my complex when going home, he then offered to deliver the car on his way home. Should have seen the smile on my face.

Thank you so much guys, you have gone far and beyond. You have gone an extra mile in ensuring that I am satisfied with your service. You have displayed a true sense of Ubuntu. Keep up the good work and do the same to other customers.
