Empty Promises

I rented a car through my insurance from Avis Pinetown. Once my car was ready I returned the rental and all was good,at a later stage I was notified and charged for damages that I did not make. I notified the branch and this was not taken seriously. I then took it further and I was promised that I would be credited with my deposit(R1200) but its about two weeks later and this promise has not been met. Could this be *******?
