Don't get hit by an Avis Car

Whatever you do don't get hit by an Avis rent a Car. Battled to find a phone number for the claims department to start with. You are then required to get 3 quotes for the repairs. Panel beaters do not give free quote for third party claims. Once you have all the paperwork together and e-mail it through you never hear for Avis. I was given a claim number which I used for the papers only to be told the number had changed and I must resend everything. Nothing happens with your claim unless you phone. They will then do one step of the process and then you will need to phone again to get the next step going and so it goes on and on. I have never had a phone call, message or even an e-mail from Avis. This has been going on for 8 months now. Today I have been told they need to send an assessor. Why has it taken so long to decide this.<br> I am so frustrated. When will this end?
