Do not use AVIS for Car Rental.

Dishonest Avis Staff - I rented a car from Avis Margate in April 2018. I returned it with no damage a few days later, and was told I could leave after the inspection confirmed that there was no damage. I was called an hour after leaving Margate Avis by the same person who inspected the vehicle, and was told they had now found damage on the rear bumper, this after it had already been inspected and I was told "all good, you can go" been parked in a public area car park at Margate Airport for an hour already. I emailed Avis Customer Care to log a dispute, to which there has been still no feedback , In late April, an amount of R7540.92 was deducted from my account without any authorisation!!! Despite 2 more emails to the Avis Customer Care department, no one has bothered to contact me, apart from being copied into mails that state that feedback is still outstanding..... I will not pay for someone else's damage. My deposit and the above amount that was **********ly removed from my account is ALSO still outstanding. Wake up Avis and sort this out.
