DO NOT USE AVIS CAR RENTAL

First time using car rental - stay away. Avis does not follow CPA principles. Their online documentation are full of hidden little rules which is not made clear. I was told that the hold on my account will be stopped if the car is returned undamaged. Upon return, no inspection is carried out with me, suddenly I have to fork out money for both fuel and a refuel service charge, even though I was way below the free kilometers range. I was not even asked to sign the invoice. "Conveniently" they have no managers or supervisors available at CPT International to clarify. Also the 1 person at a time in office for Covid goes out the door over weekend. I am then told it will be 6 days before the hold is released. Today I get an email from Avis (2 days after car was returned) that it will now take 30 days to get my money back. Can I get my interest as well. Pathetic. Best is no-one to answer your calls at customer service centre. Choose which one you want to break when using them. COVID or CPA
