DO NOT USE AVIS

<p>DO NOT USE AVIS!!!!! This is what I have posted on their FB page so that is why it is addressed to them. Thought I'd share it with you guys too.</p> <p>Shocking service from Avis!!! I rented a car for one day from your Lanseria branch (30th May and returned it before 12 on the 31st). You have gladly taken the payment off my account but I am still waiting for my deposit to be returned!!! I phoned Lanseria Avis only to be told they "cannot" help me and I need to call your customer services. I did and spoke to Brian who said Lanseria should have returned my deposit already. He "put" an urgent release on MY money and still I wait. I called your 086 number again on Monday only to be told that your system is down and to email. I did and no response so I resent the email on Tuesday (yesterday) morning. Still no response so I called back and the person I spoke to said it will be in my account by COB yesterday. Imagine my surprise when I see debits going off my account (everything has now reversed) and STILL NO **** return of MY DEPOSIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have until 10am TODAY to return my money or I shall be taking this to the ombudsman as *****. I would assume that you wouldn't be big enough to pay for my inconvenience of having my debits bounce (I did change the dates so the amounts would be in my account once my deposit was returned) and as you never kept to your side of the contract I now have to pay bank charges!!!!</p> <p>Avis or ****.... Don't think I'll EVER use you again!!!!</p> <p>Sadly I am not the only one who has this issue with them - just look at their page in FB (Avis Southern Africa) and the Lanseria branch has 1 star average!!! Say no more!</p>
