Dissapointed in Avis

We had an accident with our car and with our Insurance we rented a car through Avis while our car is in for repairs. As we drove out of the Avis premises someone bumped into the back of the rented car. Avis claims the full damage from the woman who caused the accident, however we have to pay the excess, what about third party? We had to pay the excess before they wanted to release another vehicle right there and then. So dissapointed...no regard as to what we just went through and it was not even our fault. Seems to me Avis just wants your money...no customer care.
